Who We Are
For over 25 years, Communities In Schools (CIS) has championed the connection of needed community resources with schools. By bringing caring adults into the schools to address children's unmet needs, CIS provides the link between educators and the community. The result: Teachers are free to teach and students - many in jeopardy of dropping out - finally have the opportunity to focus on learning.
Communities In Schools of Marietta/Cobb County, Inc. is a collaborative organization that serves students in the Marietta City and Cobb County School systems. CIS provides services and activities to students that are geared toward successful completion of education. CIS also provides parenting education programs to assist parents in helping their children succeed in school.
